It’s been a busy few months in Ripe Land.

Hello hello! My team is making me come out of the basement (I’ve been heads-down in our smart contract code — reviewing, testing, refining, etc). But it’s time we share another update. Our team has had a productive few months. We’re inching closer to launching on Ethereum mainnet.
Ripe Radness Competition
- We recently launched Ripe Radness, a competition on the Sepolia testnet designed to stress test everything before we go to mainnet (smart contracts + web app)
- We’ve already had 150+ users competing for the top spot on our live leaderboard.
- There are many different ways to play (borrow, bond, deposit, stake, etc). Banana Call #12 has a full demo on some strategies.
- Top players will get a special surprise NFT (with real economic impact, will boost their Juice Score)
Product / Engineering
- Liquidation: We released a detailed blog post on how Liquidations will work in Ripe. It’s been built and tested. Banana Call #9 is where we talk thru it live.
- NFTs: We’ve wrapped up integration with key NFT standards in our smart contracts (not yet exposed in UI). Perhaps Ripe’s greatest differentiator is its ability to support many types of collateral — especially real-world assets. The NFT capabilities will play an important role for that (NFTs are not just for digital monkey pictures).
- Security is always top of mind for us (this is where I spend most of my time). We continue to conduct internal reviews, adding more tests, monitoring and controls. More peer review and third-party audits are on deck.
Banana Calls

Road to Mainnet
- We started our beta with a private testnet (700+ users in 2 weeks, 200+ user suggestions).
- Then we moved to a public beta on Goerli testnet. This allowed us to remove waitlist restrictions and see the protocol come to life on a real blockchain!
- We are now in the final phase of testing on Sepolia testnet — where ETH is much less expensive — before we will deploy on mainnet.
